Received some good news that a styled shoot I was a part of has been featured over on B.Loved. So incredibly proud of the work that went into styling this shoot and for all the wonderful suppliers that got involved.
Check it out here.
The shoot itself was inspired by the art of making green tea; Comins Tea, a local speciality tea shop joined us on the shoot to assist with re-creating a traditional tea ceremony. This formed the basis for the clean colour palette of greens, white and neutrals and Ikebana-inspired floral designs created by florist Jasper + Quinn. Matara provided the perfect venue for the shoot; with its tranquil gardens and intriguing spaces, inspired by the owner’s travels and a celebration of the world’s multi-cultures.
The ornate gown by Justin Alexander looked stunning against the backdrop of the venue’s courtyard and formal gardens. The bridal look was completed with intricate hairpieces from Ophelia Ren Bridal.
Moving inside, the light, foliage-filled reception room was the perfect setting to feature a tablescape of simplistic elegance, incorporating the greens and neutrals and the unique detail of using a matcha teaspoon as a place card to tie back to the shoot’s theme. The white cake designed by Cake My Day and embellished with flowers blended in perfectly with its surroundings.
